Security first · Who can get into your family's genealogy?
The creator decides who gets into the genealogy.
A genealogy holds the birth dates, phone numbers and relationships of your whole family. MiSol Home locks that information to real accounts and lets the creator decide who gets in.
- The creator approves who joins. Relatives who find the genealogy must send a request and wait for approval. Invite links expire automatically after 7 days.
- Clear roles. Creator, co-manager and member. A creator who wants to leave must transfer ownership first. Deleting a genealogy needs confirmation, and only works when the creator is the last person left.
- Information locked to the account. A profile linked to a MiSol account pulls its birth date and phone number from that account, so no one can edit them by mistake.
- Birth dates can be hidden. The filtering happens on both the Cloud and the app, including old data still stored on the device.
- The website shows only general information. The website list only has the genealogy name, hometown and aggregate numbers for genealogies allowed to be public. There are no individual profiles.

Who does the app remind about memorial days?
The right person, not the whole family
The Cloud picks blood relatives close to your own profile: your parents' generation, siblings, grandfathers and great-grandfathers on your father's side, and the next generation of children, including their spouses. Lunar dates account for leap months. The default reminder is 7 days before and on the day, and you can adjust each person separately.
Who updates their own branch?
Each branch updates itself
Anyone with a linked account can add their own children, and the creator is notified right away. No one needs permission to edit the whole tree.
Only remember a few generations back?
The Ancestors layer, up to 3 generations
Record the father, grandfather, great-grandfather and their siblings above the root person, F1-1. This layer stands apart, so it doesn't shift the F generation labels or count toward the people limit.
What if a date isn't known?
Leave it blank, never invent it
No made-up ancestors, and no guessing that someone has passed just because of their age. An unknown date stays blank instead of being filled in as 01/01.

Enough detail for a real family tree.
- The tree is drawn top-down by generation — F1, F2, F3 — with children placed below their parents.
- With full birth dates, the Cloud orders siblings automatically. Without them, you order them by hand.
- The tree opens already fit to your screen. Pinch to zoom exactly where you touch. There's a member list by generation for quick lookup.
- Profile: name, gender, birth date (full date or year only), living / deceased / unknown, spouse, phone, Gmail, notes, photo.
- Each profile has an avatar, and the chart has lotus corners and a scroll-style frame. The Family card on the Home screen shows a thumbnail of that exact tree.
- Available in Vietnamese, English and Simplified Chinese.
- Backup, restore and PDF export (Plus/Pro). Each genealogy holds up to 200 people (Free), 600 (Plus) or 3,000 (Pro).

How is age counted for someone born early in the year?
Your age, counted correctly by the lunar calendar
Your birth date is converted correctly to the lunar calendar to work out your age, so someone born just before Tết is still counted at their true age.
Do I have to enter my birth date again?

The birth date in your profile is shared by the auspicious calendar and Fortune, so you don't have to enter it again and again.

Who can see my family's genealogy?
Only members of the genealogy. Relatives who want in must be invited by Gmail, invited by a link (which expires after 7 days), or send a request and be approved by the creator.
What does the website show about a genealogy?
Only genealogies allowed to be public, and only the genealogy name, hometown and aggregate numbers. There are no individual profiles, birth dates or phone numbers.
Can birth dates be hidden?
Yes. A hidden birth date is filtered out on both the Cloud and the app, including old data still stored on the device.
What can I do on the website, and what needs the app?
You can find public genealogies on the website. Create, edit, invite relatives and manage a genealogy in the MiSol Home app.
Does creating a genealogy cost anything?
No. The Free plan creates a genealogy of up to 200 people. The Plus (600 people) and Pro (3,000 people) plans add backup, restore and PDF export. The Ancestors layer doesn't count toward the people limit. See the app for plan prices.
How do I invite relatives to update it together?
Invite by Gmail or send an invite link valid for 7 days. Anyone without the app is taken straight to Google Play or the App Store. Relatives can also find the genealogy in MiSol Home's directory and send a request to join. You can add co-managers, up to the number your plan allows.
How do memorial reminders work?
Enter the date of passing on the lunar calendar, leap months included. The app converts it to the solar calendar and flags years when that lunar date doesn't exist. By default it reminds 7 days before and on the day with a push notification, saved in the Notification Center and timed to each recipient's own time zone.
Can I import a genealogy from a photo of a printed chart?
This feature is still being piloted and hasn't been released. Once it is, anything imported from a photo will always be a draft for you to review before saving.
How does the auspicious calendar assess a type of work?
Choose a work category and date range, then see the lunar and solar calendar, Can Chi, auspicious hours, Trực and related reasons used by the app.
How do profile and personalisation work in Fortune?
Some personalised content needs a verified profile and your consent. If you decline personalisation, you can still use the general Fortune experience when supported by the app.
